The Original 'Tipple' Plant Containers are salvaged solid oak half barrels, original or hand-painted in a range of eye-catching Farrow & Ball contemporary colours.  These roomy barrels were previously used in wine and spirit production, and should appeal to environmentally-aware gardeners. Ideal for spring planting, summer fragrance, autumn colour and winter inspiration, (delivery included) direct to your door, rustproofed and drilled for drainage.

Hand painted Tipple - Approximately 63cm diameter x 38cm high and 110 litre capacity.

Straight Tipple - Unpainted, classic. rustic-looking,Tipple. Treated with linseed oil.
 £55 each - (delivery included) within the UK (except Highlands and Islands, poa).

Tree-sized Tipple - Super sized half barrel containers painted or straight. Approximately 1 x metre diameter 40.5 cm deep. Suitable for planting small trees or larger plants.

Please note our Tipple Containers are individually hand painted to order. For this reason please ensure you click the correct PayPal button in our  'Shop'  for the colour combination you require. If you do make an error please contact us within 24 hours by telephone or email so we can correct the order for you. We are unable to accept back or refund payment on wrongly selected containers after delivery.

We treat each Tipple container with a rust proofing treatment and prime it carefully before painting commences. Tipples are intended for outdoor use, they are of a rustic nature and often have natural inconsistencies, some rust and weathering may occur in time but we hope you will appreciate this uniqueness. 
Dimensions are approximate and colours may vary from computer screen to screen so may not always match the actual pieces precisely for this reason. All paint colours specified (except the Tipple Glasshouse) are manufactured by Farrow & Ball and for reference their colour charts are widely available at good paint suppliers.
We use only a limited choice of colours and therefore do not stock the full Farrow & Ball colour range - so please check with us first for custom designs.

Tipple glasshouses
Please note each glasshouse is inspected prior to packing and delivery and leaves the premises in perfect condition. They are extremely well protected and packed with great care. If for any reason you have purchased a glasshouse but wish to return it to us there will be a delivery charge payable (at cost). Please contact us as quickly as possible, within 24 hours of delivery, so we can advise you how to proceed.
